Against this, the concept of the laundromat is slowly finding its feet in the country. Self-service laundry facilities offer coin-operated washing and drying machines to do your clothes. However, the high cost of the laundromat means that it will be some time before the dhobis are ousted from their position at the top of the laundry pile.
