Anonymous plans to attack Facebook on November 5

Anonymous has selected its new target. This time puts its spotlight on Facebook, a social network which they accuse of violating the privacy of users. The attack is scheduled for November 5, under an operation that has been dubbed 'Facebook OP' (Operation Facebook).
Anonymous predicts the end of Facebook for the November 5, the date on which it will conduct a cyber attack, according reads a statement posted on a video posted on YouTube. The video does not announce a simple theft of data, or server crash Facebook, but it mounts an attack intended to "destroy" the social networking giant.
The reasons offered by Anonymous to carry out the attack, suggest that the social network violates the privacy of users, and sells its information to governments that wish to watch them.
"Facebook has been selling information to government agencies, and providing access to secret data users, allowing spying on people around the world." It also warns the user that "everything you do in Facebook stays on Facebook," and it is impossible to delete your account so that information can not be recovered by the company at any time.
